Blue Rot
Blue Rot is a mobile game concept built around dark fantasy visuals, stylized characters, and atmospheric world-building. The project explores how a strong visual identity and clear mobile UI can come together to create an engaging game experience.
I created this concept to experiment with mobile game design, interface structure, and immersive presentation. The goal was to design a game world that feels distinctive, readable, and visually rich while staying suitable for smaller screens.
Blue Rot was designed as a mobile game concept focused on combining fantasy storytelling, stylized character design, and game interface systems into one cohesive experience. The project explores how a game can build strong mood and identity while keeping navigation and gameplay-related screens clear for the player.
The visual direction is centered around a mysterious, slightly eerie world filled with magical creatures, hostile enemies, and high-contrast environments. My aim was to create a concept that feels playful and dark at the same time, while presenting menus, screens, and gameplay flows in a structured way.
One of the main challenges was balancing strong visual atmosphere with usability. Because the world of Blue Rot is full of detail, texture, and character-driven artwork, the interface needed to remain readable without losing the energy and mood of the concept.
Another challenge was designing consistency across different types of screens. From gameplay and settings to game over states and progression views, each screen needed to feel like part of the same universe while still serving a clear function for the player.

The final concept presents a complete mobile game direction with key interface screens, gameplay views, and visual assets that help define the world of Blue Rot. It shows how dark fantasy art direction can be translated into a cohesive mobile UI experience.
This project also allowed me to explore how game UI can support emotion, atmosphere, and progression without becoming visually confusing. The result is a concept that feels immersive, recognizable, and designed with both style and usability in mind.
Blue Rot helped me push deeper into game-focused UI/UX and mobile-first interface thinking. It gave me the opportunity to experiment with fantasy-based art direction, gameplay presentation, and stronger visual storytelling through UI.
Beyond the final visuals, the project strengthened my ability to create game concepts that feel both imaginative and functional. It reflects my interest in building interactive experiences where interface, mood, and world-building all support one another.
