Avena
Avena is a travel planning app concept created for exploring destinations, building routes, booking stays, and organizing complete travel experiences in one place. The design combines warm desert-inspired visuals with a clean and practical mobile interface.
The goal was to create a smooth travel app experience where users can discover trips, plan daily routes, compare accommodation options, and move from inspiration to booking with clarity.
Avena is a mobile app concept designed for users who want to plan, explore, and book travel experiences more easily. The app brings together destination discovery, route planning, hotel booking, and itinerary organization into one structured mobile experience.
The project focuses on simplifying the travel journey from early inspiration to final planning. Each screen was designed to help users browse destinations, view trip details, check routes, compare stays, and organize travel plans without feeling overwhelmed.
Montserrat was used for clear interface text, navigation, buttons, and travel details, while Montserrat Alternates was used to add a softer and more distinctive brand character to selected headings and visual moments.
The color palette combines warm sand #978560, black #000000, white #FFFFFF, and neutral gray #8C8C8C. Together, these colors create a calm travel-focused identity that feels natural, warm, and easy to navigate.
The main challenge was organizing many travel functions into a simple mobile experience. Route planning, hotel booking, destination discovery, and itinerary details can quickly become complex, so the interface needed to stay structured and easy to understand.
Another challenge was balancing inspirational travel visuals with practical planning tools. The design had to feel emotional and adventurous while still making maps, schedules, booking options, and trip details clear for everyday use.
The final concept delivers a clean and warm travel app experience with a clear user journey and strong visual direction. Destination cards, route screens, booking flows, and itinerary views are organized in a way that supports both exploration and decision-making.
The design also improves usability by separating travel discovery, planning, and booking into clear mobile sections. This makes the app feel easier to use and helps users move naturally from choosing a destination to building a complete trip.
